As per scientific research, the light density available to the indoor plants should be in the range of 500 μmol/sec.m2 to 1000 μmol/sec.m2.

Coverage Area

8. VIHIMAI 1000 watts Review

It is a full light spectrum LED grow light with a decent reputation among indoor growers. The grow light has the dimensions of 15.8 x 14.2 x 4.8 inches while it has a weight of 7.5 pounds.

 

Design & Construction

It has a lightweight construction with a square shaped panel in which LED chips are installed for the purpose of obtaining the light spectrum. The LEDs have been protected with the help of Zener diodes, which keep them operating separately. 

The grow light has a high performing cooling system with 4x fans present at the backside of the panel. There are heat sinks on all four sides of the square panel from where the dissipated heat radiations are thrown out of the system. 

 

Efficiency

The grow light has a daisy chain mechanism, which allows cascading the grow lights in series and connecting them with a single power source. In this way, multiple grow lights can be used for a larger grow area. It is highly energy efficient since it can replace a 1000W HPS light with only 180 watts power draw.

 

Cooling System

The grow light has a standard cooling system with 2 fans operating at the backside of the panel. There are heat sinks present at the left and right sides of the panel while the LED board is only 3 mm thick allowing the heat radiations to escape to the surroundings. The cooling system keeps the device operating at a normal temperature and ensures a long lifespan of the device.

 

Spectrum Quality

The grow light produces a full light spectrum having all the wavelengths of an ideal PAR-zone. Various color wavelengths such as Red, Blue, White, and Ware White are present in the panel. There is a minute ratio of UV and IR radiations also found in the spectrum.  The maximum coverage area of the grow light is 4’ x 4’ sq. ft.

Conclusion

We have analyzed 8x LED Grow lights based on the comprehensive review criteria and come to the conclusion that GrowStar 1000W is the highest rated LED Grow light, however, the other grow lights are not far behind and they all have their competitive advantages. 

Growstar 1000W provides high-quality medium area coverage, which sets it apart from other grow lights in the list. It is energy efficient as compared to HPS lights through some of the other grow lights in the list are more energy efficient. The secondary features of the grow light are highly useful and assist the growers in achieving high-quality yield.
